WATCH: Michael Easton and Trevor St. John pair up for ultra dramatic film

One Life to Live's Michael Easton (ex-John McBain; ex-Silas Clay, General Hospital) and Trevor St. John (ex-Victor Lord Jr./Todd Manning) are working together once more, this time on something far more dramatic than anything the pair did in Llanview.

Two of daytime's most powerful actors -- Michael Easton (ex-Silas Clay, General Hospital; ex-John McBain, One Life to Live) and Trevor St. John (ex-Victor Lord Jr./Todd Manning, OLTL) -- have teamed up for a project that will turn soap opera viewers on their heads: a dramatic short titled Ultraviolent that is based upon the life of avant-garde director Donald Cammell.

The film, which was written, directed and produced by Easton, follows Cammell (St. John), the director of the cult classic film Performance who shot himself in the head in the 1990s, thereby bringing his lifelong obsession with art, insanity and death to an end.

The Best Shorts Competition awarded Ultraviolent with the Best in Show award, claiming St. John "skillfully captures Donalds' decent into madness amidst a background of pulsing music, deadly silence and creative filming."

Watch the trailer for Ultraviolent below, and then let us know your initial impressions of Easton and St. John's creation.

What are your first thoughts about Ultraviolent? Would you like to see Easton and St. John back in daytime? If so, on which show do you think each actor would best fit? Share your thoughts in the Comments section below, on our message boards, or by submitting Feedback.
