Keep your fingers crossed for a little holiday money this year, because General Hospital will be holding its very first official fan convention in 2017. The special gathering will take place at the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Hotel Convention Center over the weekend of March 11-12.
"We have the greatest fans in the world and it's our goal to get together with them in an all immersive, all General Hospital weekend of fun, sharing stories, laughter and celebration of a show we love so much," says GH's executive producer, Frank Valentini.
A huge portion of the cast has already signed on to attend, including:
Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos) and Matt Cohen (Griffin Munroe) will serve as co-hosts for the event.

GH's fan convention includes professionally shot photo opportunities, autograph sessions, Q&A panels, meet and greets, games, celebrity karaoke, set piece design element photo ops, a red carpet posing area, and merchandising. The event will also feature the band Drop Zone.
Adds Erin Ferries, Senior VP of Creation Entertainment (the show producer of the event that has promoted events for Star Wars, Twilight, The X-Files, Star Trek, and many more): "It's an honor for our company to be involved with providing fans a memorable weekend as we celebrate the incredible success of the series and the following that has made it all possible. We can't wait!"
One of the highlights of the weekend will no doubt be the opportunity for a limited number of attendees to actually tour the General Hospital sets on Saturday Morning. Complimentary bus transportation will be provided from the hotel lobby for those participating. 150 Gold Weekend Patrons will take this unprecedented tour in groups of 50, narrated by a knowledgeable tour guide.
