Alternative pop artist BeLL has reinterpreted the classic REM hit "Losing My Religion," and the artist chose to feature General Hospital star Robert Palmer Watkins (Dillon Quartermaine) in the music video for the beloved song.
Director Jen Rosenstein says the video, which was shot entirely by queer women and also features queer stars Laura Zak and Rocco Katastrophe, is all about "struggle."
"It doesn't matter if we are gay, straight, bi, queer or transgender," she says. "At some point we go through the dark and make it out to the light."
In the video, each actor is faced with their own "darkness," which Rosenstein says was heavily discussed before shooting.
"The room represents that inner struggle and how we fight with ourselves in a way that nobody hears us. I included a young child to represent the innocence that we still have, that kid inside us that just wants a hug," she shares.
